"Then we pan down to a desert landscape, which we never would have had in Vancouver. It's a wink to the audience that we are now in the land of sunshine." From the official Fox press release, here is a short summary of the first episode (08/31/98): The sixth season premiere of THE X-FILES features the return of Gibson Praise, the brilliant young chess prodigy from last season's final episode who is in danger again, as well as Diana Fowley (guest star Mimi Rogers), the FBI agent who tries to protect him. Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) find they have been reassigned and that the "X-Files" are now in the questionable hands of Mulder's nemesis, Special Agent Jeffrey Spencer. | ||||||||||||||||
